Kontron extends distribution agreement with Arrow to include Communication Servers

Enhanced sales channel to improve penetration of high-availability Kontron telecom and cloud infrastructure COTS equipment in EMEA

Eching, October 22, 2013 – Kontron announced today the extension of its European distribution agreement with Arrow (NYSE:ARW) to include the Kontron portfolio of Communication Servers, dedicated to high availability and massively scalable applications deployed in telecom and cloud networks.

The carrier grade rackmount portion of Kontron Communication Servers have a long history of deployment for high-availability applications that include unified messaging, SoIP, call control, streaming media or signaling gateways, and BSS/OSS servers used in carrier central offices for various broadband and 4G LTE wireless services. Also supported in the agreement extension will be Kontron Communication Servers designed for media, web and Internet of Things (IoT) applications provisioned for cloud and data center network environments.

Regarding the new agreement with Arrow, Cees Koetsier, Head of Indirect Channel at Kontron, comments: "By extending our relationship with Arrow, we are strengthening our sales channels for infrastructure and edge servers for networked high-availability applications across the whole of Europe.
