Kontron AG: Supervisory Board appoints Christopher Stephen Burke and Andreas Plikat to the Management Board with effect from September 1, 2012

Eching near Munich, September 3, 2012 – The Supervisory Board of Kontron AG has appointed Christopher Stephen Burke and Andreas Plikat to the company’s Management Board effective September 1, 2012. The number of Management Board members has risen from four to six as a result of these appointments.

As Chief Operating Officer (COO) Andreas Plikat will be in charge of Global Supply Chain, Quality Assurance and IT. Having studied physics, Andreas Plikat worked for ten years in the product supply organisation of the world-leading US consumer goods company Procter & Gamble. From 2002 onwards he headed the supply chain management of Rohde & Schwarz, an international electronics group based in Munich.

Having served on Kontron AG’s Supervisory Board until August 31, 2012, Christopher Stephen Burke was appointed Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) for a duration of six months by the Supervisory Board on September 1, 2012. During this period he will be in charge, among other things, of Corporate Development and M&A. Christopher Stephen Burke started his professional career at Bell Northern Research and subsequently worked at Nortel, Energis und Vodafone UK. In addition, he can draw on extensive experience as an investor in, and advisor to, a number of world-leading technology companies.
