At the field, or edge level, data is collected by industrial computers, e.g. by gateways, which process, filter, analyze and act on these data in real-time right at the device.
Edge, fog and cloud applications demand increasing computing power. The interfaces to sensors or machines often require non-standard solutions. Especially in smaller machines, space is limited or restricted in some dimension and need a special solution.
Today, the connection from the sensor device to the embedded cloud takes place via real-time data communication, on sensor and edge level - for example Industrial Ethernet or fieldbuses - and gateways , which provide the transformation of real time data into the informational area.

Kontron Shanghai Announces Mobile Computer Road Show in July 2002
Kontron Image and Mobile Computing Products Promotion in China
June, 2002 ? Kontron Shanghai Co., Ltd., the local representative of Kontron Group in China, announced the coming series of 2002? Kontron Mobile Computer Product and Application Road Show, specially developed for the channels and customers.
The road show will be held in three main cities of China, July 12 in Shanghai, July 16 in Beijing and July 18 in Xi?an. Attendees to the half-day session will receive brief introduction of Kontron Group, and intensive product/ application presentation of Kontron rugged mobile computers, mobile database server, and wireless/ remote communication, etc.
?The main purpose of the road show is to tell the target customers who Kontron is and what Kontron can do for them,? said Raid Chang, President, Kontron Shanghai. ?We have set up our Shanghai company and Beijing office in March, and the road show will be a face-to-face chance to build better communication with channels and target customers, at the same time, to build up the awareness of our graceful mobile computers.?
Mobile Computers Road Show is the part of the promotion events of Kontron Shanghai. CeBIT Asia (September, in shanghai) and PT/Expo (October, in Beijing) are the two main trade shows in the second part of 2002. Kontron Shanghai continues to present the group and the product family to the customers with the state-of-the-art technology.
