FieldWorks Signs Distribution Agreement with IBM

Eden Prairie, Minn., March 31, 1998 - FieldWorks, Incorporated (NASDAQ: FWRX), a leading manufacturer of customer-specific computing solutions for demanding field environments, has signed a distribution agreement with IBM whereby IBM´s Mobile and Wireless Group can sell mobile computing solutions based on FieldWorks´ products worldwide.

The market for reliable mobile workstations with wireless capability includes field professionals in utility, transportation, military and public safety industries. Such professionals use the workstations primarily as in-vehicle tools for field communications, field service and/or field data collection.
